Trachittèridi.

Famiglia di pesci teleostei, dal corpo allungato e nastriforme. I T. vivono in profondità nelle acque marine; nel Mare Mediterraneo sono comuni il Trachypterus trachypterus, detto anche pesce d'argento, lungo fino a 3 m, e il Trachypterus cristatus.
